Conference on Psychology and Multilingualism, on Tuesday at the Universitat

Psychology and Multilingualism Conference

The Faculty of Psychology of the Universitat holds on Tuesday 12 April a Conference Debate on Psychology and Multilingualism. The meeting will take place in the Assembly Hall of the centre. The conference debate on ‘El cerebro bilingüe’ (‘The bilingual brain’) in charge of Ferran Suay and the round table ‘Aspectos psicosociales del multilingüismo’ (‘Psicosocial aspects of multilingualism’) are the main events of the conference.

Organised by the Valencian Society of Psychology (SVP) in collaboration with the faculty and the Valencian Language Academy (AVL), it will count on the participation of the vice-principal for Cuture and Equality, Antonio Ariño; the president of the AVL, Ramon Ferrer; the dean of the faculty, María Dolores Sancerni; and the president of the SVP, Oto Luque.

The presentation of the conference will take place at 10:30 with all the autorities. The first conference debate will start at 11:20 and it will be about ‘El cerebro bilingüe’, in charge of Ferran Suay, doctor in Psychobiology. At 12:30 there will start the round table ‘Aspectos psicosociales del multilingüismo’, with the participation of Nathalie Torres, assistant director-general of Linguistic Policies and Multilinguism of the Regional Government; Rafael Castelló, director of the Service of Linguistic Policies of the Universitat; Josep Lluís Doménech, member of the AVL; and Oto Luque, president of the SVP.
