During the Congress multiple boards and debates were developed around nine topic blocks for this edition:

• The juridical universalism crisis or the failed project of a Cosmopolitan Right
• The research from “El tiempo de los derechos”
• National Plan of Human Rights
• Migrant people Rights
• Old people Rights
• Children Rights
• Doctoral Researches
• Rights Defenders

One of the central points of the Congress has been the report of the extreme situation that Palestine people are going through and the necessity of a decisive response in the university field. A deep debate around the role of the academy facing the committed crimes in Gaza was done and concrete action proposals were suggested and that will be worked on collectively in the following weeks.

Among the initiatives that were put on the table we highlight:

• Urging the universities to cancel institutional relations with Israel academic entities while the conflict and the systematic violation of rights continues.
• Promote the active collaboration with Palestine universities, making easier the maintenance of the teaching and research activity in extreme conditions.
• Promote specific grants to reinforce academic bonds.
• Give visibility and recognition to people and institutions that are helping victims and the defence of human rights in Palestine.
• Explicitly include the reference to Palestine genocide in the promoted activities by La Red.
• Valuate a collective institutional declaration of sentence and compromise on the part of La Red.

These proposals reflect the will of the Congress to not limit their analysis, but also actively taking part in the defence of human rights from the academic field.

On the other hand, it was agreed on that the next edition of the Congress (11th) will take place in May 2026, in the Universidad de Comillas.

La Red “El tiempo de los derechos” reaffirms their calling for critical thinking, coordinated action and defence of fundamental rights in contexts marked by violence, injustice and impunity.
