The School of Engineering (ETSE-UV) hosts from 5 to 7 the Annual Seminar of Automatics, Electronic Engineering and Instrumentation. SAAEI 2017 is organised by the Instrumentation and Industrial Electronic Laboratory of the Universitat de València. Experts and researchers from universities, research centres and companies will share the results of their works, exchange ideas and create committees to accomplish future projects with a greater efficacy and impact.

In this edition, the congress will focus on the following topics: Power Electronics, Control Systems, Instrumentation and its Technological and Educational Applications. During the congress, emphasis will also be placed on the improvements of the new semiconductors SiC and GaN; as well as in the new Industrial Revolution or the Industry 4.0 and the presentation of works in the fields of Aerospace Systems, Computer Systems, Biomedical Applications and Optoelectronics Applications.

The programme of the congress is divided into twenty-seven oral sessions and two board sessions which gather 119 articles coming from universities, research centres and companies of all the country. Moreover, there will also be international participation with Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Morocco and three conferences given by well-known experts who have stood out by their close collaboration with the industrial world.

On the other hand, in this edition the intention has been to continue with the rapprochement to the business world. This is the reason why the exhibition of products and services devoted to industrial electronics is maintained within the space EXPOSAAEI due to the success that it has had in previous editions. Therefore, there will be stands of different companies of the sector in which their products will be displayed and some conferences will take place.

This congress is organised by the Instrumentation and Industrial Electronic Laboratory (LEII) of the Universitat de València and it is sponsored by ‘Plata’ of Analog Devices as well as by the School of Engineering of the Universitat de València. The Spanish Section of IEEE PELS-IES also collaborates.
