Eugenio Coronado, full university Professor of Inorganic Chemist of Universitat de València, has been awarded with the Medal of Royal Spanish Society of Physics (RSEF), that granted this entity and Fundación BBVA. The jury has highlighted the awarded as one of the worldwide pioneer of magnetism and molecular spintronic.

The jury has underlined the marked international leadership of Coronado in different fields, his high impact and recognition and the multidisciplinary character of his research. “The doctor Coronado - says the document - has opened new lines of research in the molecular spintronic and the quantum computer, as well as the conductive and molecular superconductive materials”.

Eugenio Coronado is full university Professor of Inorganic Chemist of Universitat de València and director of Molecular Science (ICMol) -recognised centre María de Maeztu Excellence Unit-, in the Science Park of the academic institution, where he develops the major part of his research work in the limit between Physics, Chemists and Material Sciences.

As well as having two Advanced Grant-the best equipped of the European Research Council (ERc)-, he counts on two different national awards of Research, such as the James I King Award, the National Chemistry Award, the National Award Juan Carlos I, and recently, the Medal of the Spanish Royal Physics Society (RSEF) in 2019. It is worth to mention that he is the first scientific that have both Medals. the RSEQ in 2009 and the RSEF, which will be given in 11 December at Fundación BBVA in Madrid.

Coronado is also the Manager of the European Institute of Molecular Magnetism.
