The Publications Service stand attracts a great deal of attention in the year in which its centenary is celebrated and after receiving the 9 d'octubre honour by the Valencian government (Generalitat Valenciana).

Yesterday, Thursday 14 October, the inauguration of the 56th edition of the Fira del Llibre de València took place. An edition celebrated exceptionally during autumn and which will be remembered for coming back to its face-to-face version in the Viveros Garden after being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The inaugural visit was attended by the principal of the Universitat de València, M. Vicenta Mestre; the mayor of València, Joan Ribó, the president of les Corts, Enric Morera, the general director for Culture, Carmen Amoraga, the president of the Fundació Fira del Llibre, María Bravo, among other authorities, who visited the 83 stands of the 63 exhibitors that participate, in order to know the novelties.

The first stop was, as it could not be otherwise in a year like this, the Universitat de València Publications Service stand. This service received last week the Generalitat Valenciana 9 d'octubre honour, in the year in which it celebrates its centenary. During the visit, they were able to speak with the service director, Teresa Ferrer, who informed them about the new publications, those which are having a great impact and the next challenges and projects.

The fair will be open until the next 24 October and there will be a capacity restriction of 800 people. It is expected that more than 800 authors attend to present and sign their new publications.
