Juan Diego Botto starts a new season of the Cañada Blanch Foundation in La Nau

Cañada Blanch Foundation starts its programme of activities with the Cañada Blanch Meeting, “Teatro y compromiso”, with the actor and author Juan Diego Botto. The meeting will take place on 19th September at 7:30 p.m. in the Matilde Salvador Room of the Cultural Centre La Nau. Access is opened to the general public until seating capacity is reached.

The actor will speak with the journalist Mariola Cubells about his professional career and his last project: the new theatrical piece of work, “Una noche sin luna”. It is a text on Federico García Lorca and the fateful night of his assassination, which will be released in mid-January.  They will also speak about his film career and his most iconic works.

The foundation starts a new season with an agenda that is filled with activities for the following months.

On 27th September at 7:70 p.m. at the Assembly Hall of La Nau the Cañada Blanch Dialogues will return. They are debates with professionals from different sectors that in this occasion are focused in leadership in each field. They are entitled “Necesidad de un nuevo liderazgo para humanizar la empresa”.

Caterina Ruiz de Ojeda will be in charge of the room alongside with José María Guibert, the Principal of the University of Deusto; and Irma Jiménez Guler, director of corporate issues Hewlett Packard.

The dialogues Cañada Blanch will continue in October with the writer Antonio Orihuela and the General Director of the National Library, Ana Santos Aramburo. This will serve to speak about the future of small publishers. It will be presided over by the Vice-principal for Culture and Sports, Antonio Ariño, in the book festival SINDOKMA that once again will take place in the facilities of La Nau from 25th to 28th of September.

The foundation will host Susana Chillida’s presentation in November. She will speak about the film that addresses the life of his father, the artist Eduardo Chillida; and the writer Eduardo Iglesias will reveal his new novel. Additionally, at the end of the month they will finish the details of the concert Berklee-Cañada Blanch in Burriana, the home town of the founder Vicente Cañada Blanch.

The dissemination cycle Cañada Blanch Science, known as “Conect Talks”, an interesting combination of relaxed talks to show the society the last progress in the fields of science.
