The LinkedIn profile of the Universitat de València exceeds one hundred thousand followers

Management policy of the LinkedIn social network at the Universitat de València, focused on job placement and dissemination of entrepreneurship programmes, attract twenty thousand new followers to the profile every year.

The profile of the Universitat de València in LinkedIn, managed by Web and Marketing Unit, has exceeds one hundred thousand followers this week. It is one of the highest figures among the profiles of this same network of all Spanish universities.

Particularly, after having surpassed the figure of a hundred thousand at the beginning of the week, on Thursday 16 November the followers were 100,141.

A fact that has contributed to that has been the decision to have focused the management of this tool in actions strictly related to the professional integration of the graduates, and on the diffusion of the different entrepreneurship programmes, has contributed decisively to this.

When the University Web and Marketing Unit took charge of the management of this LinkedIn account in 2013, eighteen thousand people were listed as followers, which means that in the following years the profile has grown at a rate of twenty thousand new followers per year.

The place of the Universitat de València in international rankings has contributed to the success of this virtual community. We must not forget that the UV is the second European university in reception of Erasmus students, and one of the ten best in the world for learning the Chinese language and culture, according to the Chinese government, as well as being the fourth university Spanish in the world, according to the Jiao Tong Ranking of Shanghai.
