The Executive council of the Universitat de València has invited the university community to gather at 12 a.m on Friday 10 November at the doors of the university centres to observe a minute’s silence that has been called by the Valencian Government in memory of Jessica Bravo Cutillas, killed in Elda by her ex-partner when she was going to pick up her son at school.

This minute of silence has been also observed at the beginning of the Solemn Academic Act of Inauguration as Honorary Doctor of the professor Jocelyn Bell that has taken place at the auditorium of the Universitat de València.

University community expresses its condolences to the family of Jessica Bravo and to all those victims of these acts of violence.

They also declare, once again, the rejection of the University of Valencia for sexist violence, calling on the unity of the whole society and the efficiency of the public authorities to fight against this feminicide of deep social implications.
