Around thirty Spanish universities have produced the fifth season of this audiovisual series that presents the main lines of research on topics of scientific and social interest, with the collaboration of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology of the Ministry of Science and Innovation (FECYT). The 10 episodes will be broadcast weekly as part of the programme "La Aventura del Saber" (The Adventure of Knowledge) on TVE's La 2, starting on 20th April, and will focus on the rigorous transmission of knowledge of reality to the general public.

The new season of the series "Universo Sostenible" starts next 20th April on TVE's La 2, as part of the programme "La Aventura del Saber" (The Adventure of Knowledge). The 10 chapters that make up this new broadcast co-produced by CRUE Spanish Universities will also be available on all the websites of the 29 participating universities. The topics of this new stage will be nanotechnology, neuroscience, studies in different areas related to botany, DNA, pests, sustainable agriculture, cryptocurrencies and life beyond Earth.

As in previous editions, different people from the scientific community will explain in a simple way the keys to advances in research projects related to technological progress that will have an important impact in the near future. The collaboration of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), which is part of the Ministry of Science and Innovation, has also been fundamental to its realisation.

The programme "La Aventura del Saber" (The Adventure of Knowledge) seeks to deepen the transmission of a rigorous knowledge of reality to the public in order to make them more critical and responsible in their decisions. On the other hand, this new transmedia project will also make it possible to find out how the public reacts to the scientific projects presented.
