The Paraninf of La Nau hosts the first debate of the European elections in Valencia

The Paraninf of the Universitat de València has hosted, on Monday the 13th of May, the debate for the elections to the European Parliament with the Valencian candidates organised by Cadena SER. The video and audio signal has been produced by the Audiovisual Workshop (TAU) of the Universitat de València.

The Paraninf of the historic building of La Nau has hosted the debate among the Valencian candidates to the European Parliament from Ciudadanos, Jordi Cañas; from Compromís, Jordi Sebastià; from Unides Podem, Esther Sanz; from PSPV-PSOE, Inmaculada Rodríguez Piñero; and from Partido Popular , Esteban González Pons. The debate has been moderated by the territorial director of Cadena SER Comunitat Valenciana, Bernardo Guzmán.

The audience of the debate was formed by members coming from politics, organisations, associations belonging to social movements, Valencian unions and management, who were welcomed by the Vice-Principal for Culture and Sport, Antonio Ariño.

The Vice-Principal Antonio Ariño has highlighted the significance of these kinds of debates, specially this one. ‘The next electoral day is very important, since the elections to the European Parliament are significant because that’s where the global policies are decided, and Europe is the best global project we have’, he claims.

This meeting is part of a series of debates organised and produced by Cadena SER, like the one of the elections to the autonomous government, the one of the general elections and the one that took place last Wednesday for the elections for the  mayor’s office of València, events for which the Universitat de València has offered spaces and has produced the signal for through the Audiovisual Workshop (TAU).
