Peiró will give a conference about competences for employability at the three campuses

José María Peiró, Professor in Social Psychology and Organisational Psychology of the Universitat de València and expert in labour insertion and teamwork, will give a series of conferences on abilities for employability at the three campuses of the Universitat de València.

In order to improve employability, in addition to academic knowledge, it is necessary to have certain skills, which the Professor will outline in his lecture, aimed at both teaching and research staff and students of the Universitat de València.

The first session, organised within the MOTIVEM programme framework, will take place Wednesday 12th February 10 a.m. at the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Burjassot-Paterna Campus.  On Thursday, the conference will take place the 13th February at 10 a.m.at the Board Room of the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication of the Blasco Ibáñez Campus. Lastly, José María Peiró will give the conference at the Tarongers Campus that same Thursday, at 12 p.m. at the Faculty of Economics: Ignasi Villalonga Room.

José María Peiró is funding director of the Research Institute of Personnel Psychology, Organisational Development and Quality of Working Life (IDOCAL) and Honorary Doctor by the Maastrich University (2020), the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (2017) and the Methodist University of São Paulo (2010).  In addition, he has been President of the International Association of Applied Psychology (2011-2014). His participation in over 50 publications and more than 130 articles must be highlighted as well.

MOTIVEM is a training programme implemented in the Universitat de València, directed by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Employment and Training Services through the University-Business Foundation ADEIT. The participation is free, given that the programme is economically funded by the Generalitat Valenciana (Government of Valencia) and the Obra Social La Caixa.
