The Pelayo Trinquet holds free pilota matches for the whole university community

The Pelayo Trinquet hosted on October 27th free pilota matches for the whole university community. There was also an introductory workshop. The activity was framed within the Partida de Benvinguda Festival (Welcoming Match Festival) of the Universitat de València

At 4:30 p.m. the traditional pilota de raspall and d’escala i corda matches started.  At 5 p.m. started the introductory workshop, with the aim of making the pilota known to the entire university community.

Genovés II, Javi, Soro III, Hèctor, Iván, Lorja, Ibiza, Vicent, Raúl and Ricardet participated on the matches.

The workshop was organised thanks to the collaboration of the Language Policy Service was given by professional players of pilota and graduates in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences.  

The university community had a unique opportunity to get to know the history, the different materials and everything that surrounds the autochthonous sport, in addition to playing the game in the same trinquet. Attendees were also able to experience two great matches with two titans of the pilota of the two modalities.
