The event, held on the occasion of World Health Day, is organised by the Valencian Medical Students Association and aims to bring health closer to society in general with games and informative and awareness-raising activities.

The Plaza de la Virgen (Virgin’s Square) in the city of Valencia hosted the traditional Health Fair on Saturday 13 April. The event was organised by the Valencian Medical Students Association (AVEM). This year, members of other degrees of the Universitat de València  and other associations of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of the UV (AEMES, AVEO, CIB) have collaborated.

An event that is celebrated on the occasion of World Health Day. This year, we have celebrated its 17th edition, which has focused on the theme of "health for all", and is the largest health fair organised by students in Spain.

In it, the students of the health sciences degrees put on their coats for the first time and carry out activities to disseminate and promote health in order to bring health closer to everyone through games for children and other awareness-raising and information activities on the main health problems and healthy lifestyles.

A total of 300 students have participated in this edition, and for weeks they have been preparing the different activities and workshops through which they show and offer society the knowledge acquired at the Universitat.

In addition, the meeting was conceived as a meeting place for students from different health degrees, where ideas are exchanged, where cooperation and collaboration between students from different degrees is encouraged and which helps to understand the interdisciplinary nature of the health sciences.

The fair was attended by the principal of the UV, M. Vicenta Mestre; the vice-principal for Lifelong Learning, Teaching Transformation and Employment, Ángeles Solanes; the dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Amparo Ruíz; the general director of Hospital Care, M. Jesús Arilla; the dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, M. Jesús Arilla; the dean of the Faculty of Physiotherapy, Sofia Pérez; the dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences, Hortènsia Rico; and the dean of the Faculty of Nursing and Podiatry, Antoni Merelles.
