Student Research from Würth Elektronik Chair, created by Würth Elektronik eiSo and Universitat de València, were working and carrying out their internships at a company in Germany this summer in the characterisation and strength of Shielding components, the updating of Common Mode Chokes measures and the development of new measure techniques for obtainng different parameters, related to Würth Elektronik products.

The Chair, directed by professor José Torres has a twofold objective: to research foundations of EMC and to study its practical application.

Among the tasks that the Student Research, Antonio Alcarria Morga (student of the Master’s Degre in Telecommunications Engineering) and Víctor Martínez García (student of the Degree in Telematics Engineering) carried out, there are the support in obtaining measurements for a set of filters, the updating of Common Mode Chokes data, the development of tests and the obtaining of measures, theoretically and practically, of the electrical and magnetic properties, for the characterisation of different Common Mode Choke, Snap Ferrites, etc. At the same time they performed the testing and validation of the measures of the products included in the field of Shielding, as well as the participation in the development of new measurement systems to obtain different characteristics of the components, such as: S-Parameters, Insertion Loss, Absorption and Permeability, based in different publications of Electromagnetic Compability and the design of a new Near Field Probe.
