The Universitat brings the astronomy closer to the children hospitalised at La Fe

The Aula del Cel of the Astronomic Observatory of the Universitat and the Pedagogical unit of the Hospital Universitari i Politècnic La Fe have carried out a day of activities to bring the universe closer to the children hospitalised. During the day, the paediatric patients have visited a planetarium that has been installed in the health centre. Children hospitalised, long or short-stay, have witnessed the most outstanding phenomena of the space.
The coordinators of Aula del Cel are the people in charge of this activity. Maria Jesús Moyá, Mónica Pallardó and Miquel Gómez are the responsibles of leading to this initiative and, with the help of a video shown in the vault of the planetarium, have explained the most amazing astronomic and scientific concepts.
In this way, minors have seen up close the stars, meteorites, constellations, planets and other celestial bodies through an activity whose main objective is awaking interest about the universe and its phenomena.
