The Universitat calls for the first edition of the UVocupació Awards for the promotion of employability of the youth

The Universitat de València calls for the first edition of the UVocupació Awards in acknowledgment to the people and organisations committed with the promotion of employability of the youth. The deadline to present the candidacies will be the 31th of May. The Awards ceremony will be celebrated in the act of presentation of the UVjob on the 19th of June.

With the aim to acknowledge the commitment with the creation of quality employment, UVjob has called for the first time its own Awards, to which can participate natural persons over 18 years old as well as legal entities, private or public.

The UVocupació awards are divided into four categories: employability, to the company, entity or administration that has most favoured access to dignified high-quality training and  employment for people with functional diversity; Corporate Responsibility, to the project or experience with direct repercussions on quality employment; to executive or managerial women, in recognition of their professional career and whose leadership has enabled them to open the way for the rest of women in the executive and business spheres; and youth employment, to organisations that have carried out impact initiatives and contribute value to the generation of young and quality employment.

Thus, the first UVocupació award to the action in the employment area of Social Inclusion will recognise the altruistic collaboration in favour of graduates with functional diversity, the social repercussion of their actions, the commitment to the education of this collective and the efforts done in order to strengthen their capacities. The award in the action of the employment area of Business Responsibility will distinguish the commitment of companies with stable positions, equality policies, original initiatives in the management and retention of talent and innovation in reconciliation, flexibility and time management. To the executive or managerial women, the award will appreciate their effort and success in the business direction or creation and management, the leadership and development of good practices and the initiatives and actions that draw attention to women leaders in the corporate world. The award for the encouragement of youth employment will recognise the innovative initiatives for the creation of jobs, the promotion of undertaking and self-employment, the identification of talent and the programmes of sustainable youth employability.

The nominations to UVocupació Award must be lead by the Human Resources Departments, Corporate Responsibility or General Management, and they could opt to different categories. They shall apply through the forms available in the website UVjob: https://www.uv.es/uvjob
