The UV has allocated 99,75% out of the 8.570 first grade places offered for the academic year 2016/2017, that is, most of the educational offer in the official studies in the Universitat de València. The highest admission marks are found in Medicine, Biochemistry, Dentistry, Physics and Biotechnology. Medicine has a waiting list of almost 2.500 people.

The leadership of the degrees of the UV is made manifest by the high admission marks of many of the degrees offered. For instance, Medicine has the highest admission mark (12,856), increasing for the second consecutive year (last year it was 12,774). Furthermore, it is again the highest admission mark in the Valencian university system. It is closely followed by the Degree in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences, with a 12,669 admission mark (12,462 last year). This year, the third option is again Dentistry, with a 12.138 admission mark (12,040 in 2015), which last year was surpassed by Pharmacy/Human Nutrition and Dietetics, the fourth this year with 12,089 (12,049 last year). Physics is again in the fifth position with an admission mark of 12,080 (11,916); Biotechnology repeats position with 11,916 (11,851, last year); double degree in Business Administration and Management + Law with 11,800 (11,674 in 2015); while International Business (11,600) has surpassed Translation Studies (English) with 11,472 (11,502 last year).

The UV has allocated 8.549 out of the 8.570 places offered in degrees and double degrees. There were only 21 places left in one of the degrees. There is waiting list in the others. As usual, Medicine stands out with 2.448 people on the list.

The vice-principal for Undergraduate Studies and Language Policy of the Universitat de València, Isabel Vázquez, has expressed her satisfaction regarding the pre-registration results. Vázquez has pointed out that the demand shows that “our offer is appropriate and fits the students’ needs”, and has also highlighted the interest and value of all the areas of knowledge taught in the three campuses of the Universitat, resulting in an almost full allocation of places.

The management of the waiting list will be carried out online. Those students who got a place are now called for informative meetings, as it is explained here: http://links.uv.es/wYlm0ep

With regard to the waiting list, those students on the list who are interested in a place, should enter the electronic office of the UV and confirm, on each of the degrees in which they are in the waiting list, that they are still interested in order to be kept on the list. Thus, they will be able to participate in the following allocations.

The allocations for students in the waiting list will take place on 25 and 28 July, and on 2 September.

The deadline for the confirmation of the first allocation will be on 24 July until 00pm. In those cases in which the confirmation is not carried out, the student will be automatically excluded from the list, missing the chance to be admitted to that degree.

Waiting lists are not face-to-face, and will be published in the UV’s website when the enrolment period for admitted students is finished. Applicants should pay attention to call dates.
