More than 400 people and 70 dancers gathered yesterday afternoon at the Tívoli theatre in Burjassot, where the Flamenco and Sevillanas Festival was held once again this year.

This festival, organised by UVesports, showcases the choreographies learned throughout the academic year in the disciplines offered by the Activities Area of the Physical Education and Sports Service. The show brought together 70 students on stage to perform more than a dozen performances.

The director of the Servei d'Esports, Ana Mª Gómez, who enjoyed the show like the rest of the audience, had nothing but praise for this traditional festival, “It's not all about competitions. The Servei d'Esports also organises these kinds of events to recognise and value the effort and dedication of our students, who deserve the chance to showcase what they’ve spent the whole year working on. A performance that is enjoyed by all, both dancers and attendees.”
