The Universitat de València launches the Specific Plan of Continuous Training in Cinema and Audiovisual (PECA), organised by the Cinema Club. This initiative, which counts with the collaboration of the Pla de Formació - Cultura per a la Recuperació, organised by the Valencian Government, is starting this year with its second edition with the intention of promoting formation and professionalisation in the audiovisual industry through a series of workshops which will tackle all the stages of the creative process, from the script to post-production.

Students will have the chance to participate in a variety of courses taught by professionals of renown in the sector and professors of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication of the Universitat de València. The courses, which have a duration of 30 hours, will be imparted at the La Nau Cultural Centre of the Universitat de València, between the months of May and September. The courses have a reduced price thanks to the funding by the Valencian Government and the certificates are recognised within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) of the EU with 2 ECTS credits. You can enrol through the UV Culture website, following this link. Places are limited.

In this edition, eight specialised courses are offered, from comedy writing and audio drama, to professional sound production and the possibilities that the documentary genre or formats such as the podcast offer. The training includes introductory theory lessons with professors of Audiovisual Communication of the Universitat de València (Isadora Guardia, Esteban Galán, Carlos López Olano, Yolanda Cabrera, Silvia Guillamón, Nel·lo Pellisser, Àlvar Peris and Luis Veres), as well as practical lessons taught by industry professionals (Raúl Diego, Paco Morillas, Elena Morales, Javier Pitarch, José Pitarch, José Molins, Xavi Magro, Sergi Pitarch and Ximo Romero).

It is a training proposal that can also be organised through micro-credentials, a training certificate organised by the Ministry of Universities, and constitutes a specialised training that does not require any previous knowledge to access. These are the courses offered this edition: ‘Como escribir comedia para el audiovisual’ (2 May – 6 June), ‘Producción de audio para medios audiovisuales.
