On Wednesday 27 November, Palau Cerveró held the documentary launch about the Valencian tourist landscapes in collaboration with Turisme Comunitat Valenciana. The Docufòrum programme collects some documentaries produced by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Society of Universitat de València, in collaboration with TAU.

At the launch participated the Vice-principal of Territorial Projection and Society, Jorge Hermosilla, and Francesc Colomer, Regional Secretary for Tourism.  It was held at Conference Hall of Palau Cerveró.

The Vice-Principal Jorge Hermosilla explained that the audio-visual “is a demand for the meaning that the landscape should acquire in a territorial strategy, included tourism. It makes clear the need for a new story that claims our landscapes, as inspiration for our own products, unique, unrepeatable... at the same time that allows away from the banal landscape, standardization, generalization... that has been settling in recent decades”. Walesska Schlesinger, Rafael Mata, Juan Piqueras, Jose Luís Jimenez, Josep Montesinos, Emilio Iranzo and Maria Hernández take part in the audio-visual as interviewees.

The Regional Secretary for Tourism, Francesc Colomer, has insisted on the great usefulness of this documentary that allows us to rediscover "the beauty and importance of our landscapes, which are fundamental tourist resources for the development of the tourism model we want for the Valencia Region, a model based on authenticity and sustainability.” Francesc Colomer has vindicated the Valencian landscape as the basis of a highly grounded narrative discourse.
