This Wednesday, May 11, at 1 PM, the exhibition ‘El disseny dels records’ (The Memories Design) is opened at the Museum of Informatics of the Universitat Politècnica de València. The Creari Research Group of the Universitat de València and the Superior Technical School of Informatic Engineering (ETSINF) collaborate in this exhibition.

In this exhibition of 20 art installations, the students of the Degree in Primary School Education, who will be the future teachers, reflect on memories, learning and technology. All of this taking into account that Valencia is the World Design Capital of 2022.

The pieces show the interests of younger people, such as the addiction to technology, the pictures on social media, the typology of data storage, the way memories affect emotions or the possibility to use sound in a creative way through technology. The works address sound art as a way to strengthen multisensoriality. Each contestant group is named after a female artist and most of the students are women.

The exhibition is commissioned by Ricard Huerta and Daniela Gil and features researcher Ramona Rodríguez, a sound art specialist.

This kind of collaborations strengthens the link between professionals from the technological and humanistic fields.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by the Vice-Principal of Art, Science, Technology and Society, Salomé Cuesta; the Head of the Museum of Informatics, Damián López, and the Head of the ETSINF, Sílvia Terrasa.
