The Universitat recognises the Royal academies, professional schools and Diplomatic corps in the framework of its 525 anniversary.

The ceremony, held last 6 May in the Paraninfo (Main Hall) of the University, is framed in the celebration of the 525 anniversary of the UV. Celebrations postponed because of the DANA that affected seriously Valencia

The event was presided by the Principal of the Universitat de València, M. Vicenta Mestre; the Regional Secretary for Universities, María Esther Gómez; the General Secretary of the UV, M. Elena Olmos, paid tribute to professional schools, academies, royal academies in the spheres in which the UV carries out research, knowledge transfers and develops teaching. 

Moreover, each institution opened to the world and consolidated in the internationalisation and mobility, being the first European university in reception of Erasmus students, also recognised to the accredited diplomatic corps in Valencia of the States with which it maintains academic and research exchange.

Recognition of Royal Academies and Scientific Academies  
The University has given recognition to the academies it collaborated with in the project of scientific and knowledge values. A collaboration born during the Enlightenment and that has been as it continues being, essential in the improvement of critical thinking, knowledge creation, preservation scientific memory and the projection of Humanism values.  

They are institutions, academies and royal academies, in which many of our professors have been, or are part, actively, contributing to the construction of a society more educated, fair and just.  

That way, the principal wanted to thank specifically the Royal Academies and Academies rooted in the valencian territory for its constant dialogue with the Universitat de València, which has contributed to the enrichment of the scientific debate and to project the valencian knowledge in an international level.

Recognition to the associations and professional schools  
Additionally, the Universitat has also recognised the professional schools and associations in the areas where the UV teaches. An activity that, in this academic course, implies an offer of 56 official degrees and 12 double degrees, 105 official Master's Degrees, a master in International Double Degrees and 60 doctoral programmes.  

An offer adjusted with the society demands, allowing the 95% of the graduates to find a job when finishing their studies and that more than the 86% have positions according to their formative level. Dates that, as the principal said, “are also thanks to the work of the entities that today receive this recognitions”.

Recognition of Diplomatic corps  
The Universitat de València positions itself as one the 300 best universities in the world, with cooperation agreements with entities of different continents, what allows the creation and transmission of knowledge in all the field of knowledge, as well as the development of cooperated projects.  

 A labour that won’t be possible, as the principal affirmed, “without the tight collaboration with the diplomatic corps, to which I am very grateful for its willingness and support towards the University”.
