The University of Valencia and the Carmen Izquierdo Besante awarded prizes that the foundation grants every year to the students who received the highest marks on their academic record from the first year.

Juan Arroyo Bellver (History), Joan Calatayud Balleste (Physics and Mathematics), Leire Regaño Monllor (Law) and Mireia Sastre Navarro (Pharmacy) were the winners of this year’s edition and were awarded €500 each for their academic success.

During the event, University of Valencia predistent, M. Vicenta Mestre thanked the Foundation for its close collaboration with the UV and, in particular, for providing these awards for first-year undergraduate students and promoting academic excellence.

The president also congratulated the four winning students for their effort and perseverance that led them to obtain this recognition and encouraged them to continue along this path, which will surely lead them to achieve new goals and successes in the future.

Javier Pastor, secretary of the Foundation, also gave his congratulations to the students and motivated them to continue along this path of hard work and academic excellence.

Elena Olmos; the vice-president of academic studies, Isabel Vàzquez; the dean of the Faculty of Geography and History, Josep Montesinos; the dean of the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences, J. Salvador Moll; the dean of the Faculty of Physics, Jordi Vidal; The dean of the of the Faculty of Law, Francisco J. Palao; the vice-dean of academic studies of the Faculty of Pharmacy, M. Luisa Ferrándiz; and the vice-dean of Innovation, Communication and Culture of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Javier Pereda.
