Students can acquire the necessary tools for developing their own audiovisual productions through specialised practical workshops and courses accredited with micro credentials and with support from renowned professionals of the sector.

Thanks to the ambitious Plan Específico de Formación en Cine y Audiovisual (PECA) (Specific Film and Audiovisual Training Plan), which will be implemented in the Training Plan of the Valencian Government by the Cinema Club, the Cultural Centre La Nau of the University of Valencia will become a reference point for film and audiovisual lovers as of July. In the long term, this project seeks to promote professionalisation in the film industry through practical workshops that will cover different areas of filmmaking and the professionalisation related to film.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in various training sessions given by renowned audiovisual professionals. These workshops will focus on key disciplines such as screenwriting, production, direction, search for funding and distribution, as well as in other fields of expertise such as content creation, cultural programming, use of audiovisuals as a teaching tool and film review.

PECA’s training proposal seeks to provide the students with the necessary tools so that they can undertake their own audiovisual productions without any prior knowledge. Through direct contact with successful professionals, participants will be able to share concerns, receive training based on real work experiences and get valuable information for their development in the film field.

The first courses will be offered in July and September, with topics such as script, production and sale of independent productions, as well as film review and content creation for YouTube and other video platforms. These courses are a unique opportunity to acquire practical skills with experienced professionals and to get started in the film industry.

With the impetus of the Plan Específico de Formación en Cine y Audiovisual (PECA), the Cinema Club of the University of Valencia establishes itself as a reference in film and audiovisual training, preparing future talents to make their own productions a reality and contribute to the enrichment of the Valencian audiovisual scene.
