Throughout the months of June and July, Unisocietat’s academic year 2016-2017 is to be presented in all its headquarters. This programme, aimed at people over the age of 30, is being currently taught in 10 Valencian towns: Alzira, Benetússer, Cullera, L'Eliana, Massamagrell, Ontinyent, Paterna, Quart de Poblet, Requena y Gandia (where the programme is named UniMajors).

Unisocietat’s academic year 2016-2017 starts in October. Registration period is now open in all the headquarters and it is now the turn for presentations to get future students to know this academic programme offer.

Today, Unisocietat counts on the participation of two hundred professors from the UV and more than 1.300 students signed up in the academic year 2015-2016. The academic programme consists of a multidisciplinary syllabus composed of three courses with duration of 120 hours each. It includes varied subjects which are always taught by professors from the UV.

In addition to the compulsory subjects, Unisocietat complements the course offering monthly talks of free entry for the community, as well as trips and complementary activities that will allow them to get to know some areas of the Valencian territory.

The only requirement for being Unisocietat student is the motivation to learn. Places are limited and applications will be filled in strict order of registration. The tuition for the whole academic year (compulsory subjects and lectures) amounts to 180 euros, including university card dispatch and maintenance, and the creation of UV’s academic file.

Jorge Hermosilla, Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation, has explained how, during the last years, UV has established “a network of stable headquarters around the Valencian territory relying on UV’s specific strategy and the councils’ implication”.
