The UV will be at the IgualmentFest

The UV will be at the IgualmentFest, an event organised on the occasion of the International Day Against Gender Violence and will gather several artistic manifestations, workshops, activities and a trade fair of organisations that work for the promotion of gender equality from a positive point of view. It will take place on 27 November at the City Council’s square, which will be closed to motorised traffic to become a meeting point for the citizens.
The UV will participate actively organising a self-defence workshop for women. Demonstrations and open classes of SAFEgirls (Effective Female Self-Defence System) will be carried out. Furthermore, female university students will hit 1000 times against gender violence. The councillor for Equality and Inclusive Policies, Isabel Lozano, will be in charge of hitting for the first time, showing the active fighting against gender violence and remembering the victims of gender violence.
