Valencian Minister of the Economy, Rafael Climent, visits the Science Park

Valencian Minister of the Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Employment f the Valencian Government, Rafael Climes, has visited today the Science Park of the Universitat de València (PCUV) with the objective of knowing first-hand the ecosystem of Innovation which has the academic institution. Accompanied by the principal Esteban Morcillo and by a retinue of representatives of both institutions, Climent has visited the installations of the Park and the biotechnological company Biopolis.

Rafael Climent has arrived accompanied by the general head and the assistant manager of the Economy, Francisco Álvarez and M. José Ortolà. From part to the Universitat, have accompanied Esteban Morcillo the vice-Principal for Research and   Science Policy, Pilar Campins; the head of OTRI, Ana Cortés; and the head and manager of the Science Park, Juan Antonio Raga and Fernando Zárraga, respectively.

The Valencian Minister has known the most important aspects of the Universitat de València, in its research potential- the fourth university in the Shanghai ranking- as well as the Innovation and Entrepreneurships ecosystem that the academic institution has. A ecosystem supported by three fundamental structures: the Science Park, Research Results Transfer Offices and the Fundación Universidad-Empresa, according their representatives.

At the end, the retinue has visited the company Biopolis, one of the main biotechnological companies allocated in the PCUV, guided by its councillor, Daniel Ramón.
