Notice of temporary library closure Friday 22th

Due to the celebration of the Christmas Party, the library will be closed from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Friday 22nd. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Horari especial de Nadal i període d'exàmens

Amb motiu dels festius de la Constitució, la Immaculada i el dia del campus, la biblioteca estarà TANCADA els dies 6, 7 i 8 de desembre.

Per altra banda, l'horari de Nadal serà el següent:

• 24, 25 i 26 de desembre, 1 i 6 de gener: TANCADA.
• Del 27 al 29 de desembre i del 2 al 4 de gener: 8:30 a 2:00 (préstec de 8:30 a 14:30).
• 5 de gener: 8:30 a 14:30

Hi haurà obertura especial per a l'estudi els caps de setmana:

• 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23 i 30 de desembre i 7, 13, 14, 20 i 21 de gener: 8:30 a 2h
• 30 de desembre: 8:30 a 2 h (sense préstec)
• 31 de desembre: 9 a 14 h (sense préstec)
• 22 de gener: TANCADA

Recordeu que durant el període d'exàmens es demanarà el carnet de la UV o qualsevol document que els acredite com a membres de la Universitat per a accedir a les biblioteques. Es podrà demanar el DNI per a comprovar que l'usuari és el propietari de la targeta.

Training in Clarivate databases

The company Clarivate organizes, on December 19th, a training on databases aimed at university community (PDI & PAS):

Tarongers Campus, Classroom S404:

• 11.00 to 12.00 h. Bibliographic reference manager Refworks: news and review.
• 12.15 to 13:15h. Video in university teaching (Academic Video database).
• 13.30 a 14.30. Literature reviews in Social Sciences (Social Sciences Premium Collection database).

Blasco Ibañez Campus, in the User Training Room of the Psychology Library:

• 16.00 to 17.00 h. Systematic Reviews in Psychology (PsycInfo database), also open for students that use this database.

Food donation campaign December 2023

In the Education library we collaborate with the food collection campaign for the food bank of Valencia promoted by the SDG working group of the Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació de la UV with the support of the direction of the SBD and the Vicerectorat d'Investigació i de Sostenibilitat UV.

The food collection will take place from 1st to 22nd December 2023 at the lending desks of the following libraries:

• Tarongers campus: Libraries of Socials and Education.
• Burjassot campus: Science Library
• Blasco Ibañez Campus: Libraries of Humanities, Health Sciences and Psychology
• Ontinyent campus: Library

As part of the campaign, for every kilogram or liter pack of diapers donated, one week of book loan penalty will be removed, exclusively, if any.

Special Christmas and Exam Period hours

On the occasion of the Constitution, Immaculate Conception and Campus Day holidays, the library will be CLOSED on December 6, 7 and 8.

On the other hand, the Christmas schedule will be as follows:

• December 24, 25 and 26, January 1 and 6: CLOSED.
• December 27 to 29 and January 2 to 4: 8:30 a.m. to 2:00am  (loan from 8:30 am. to 2:30 pm)
•  January 5: 8:30 am to 2:30 pm

There will be special opening for study on weekends:

•  December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23 and 30 and January 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21: 8:30 to 2 h.
•  December 30: 8:30 am to 2 am (no loan)
•  December 31: 9 am to 2 pm (no loan)
• January 22nd: CLOSED

Remember that during the exam period UV ID card or any other document that accredits you as a member of the University will be requested to access the libraries. The ID card may be requested to verify that the user is the owner of the card.
