New electronic resource: AccessMedicina

The University of Valencia already has this new online resource, which until now we had tested. Access Medicina, the medical content platform of the McGraw-Hill publishing house, offers access to the full text of prominent titles from different medical specialties such as Harrison on Internal Medicine, Schwartz on Surgery, Fitzpatrick on Dermatology, Williams on Gynecology, Fisiología humana by Tresguerres…

In addition, it is completed with self-assessment tests by medical specialties, videos and images and other clinical practice resources such as a complete vade mecum, clinical cases, diagnostic tests, primary care guides, etc…

Easter timetables

The Ciències de la Salut library will be closed from April 6 to 17, and on April 24 for a local holiday.

During the week of April 11 to 17, the nearest open library will be the Humanitats library.

News in JCR

The latest JCR update has affected some Health Sciences journals, which have changed their quartile and position compared to the first version of JCR 2021, of June 2022.

The library has updated the "On Publicar" tool including the new data, and also offers the selection of diamond biomedical journals (178) present in JCR.

These are journals published in open access without fees, which are covered by medical associations or societies. You can check them on our Portal de Suport a la Investigació (Research Support Portal):

Open Access Week at the Universitat de València, October 24 to 30, 2022

The Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació of the Universitat de València joins the celebration of the International Open Access Week 2022 with different initiatives that will take place throughout the week.

The program includes a conference on open publication with transformative agreements, a guide on research data management or access through RODERIC to different documents, in addition to the books published by Publicacions de la Universitat de València ( PUV), which has opened its publications to the public.

AprènTFG course

You are on time to apply for the ApènTFG course. The deadline for registration is next Monday 17 October.

ApènTFG is a course organised by the Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació, totally online that focuses on the digital and informational skills needed to develop the final degree project successfully.

It is recognised with 1.5 credits for 54 degrees, including all Health Sciences degrees.
