Open Access Week at the Universitat de València, October 24 to 30, 2022

The Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació of the Universitat de València joins the celebration of the International Open Access Week 2022 with different initiatives that will take place throughout the week.

The program includes a conference on open publication with transformative agreements, a guide on research data management or access through RODERIC to different documents, in addition to the books published by Publicacions de la Universitat de València ( PUV), which has opened its publications to the public.

AprènTFG course

You are on time to apply for the ApènTFG course. The deadline for registration is next Monday 17 October.

ApènTFG is a course organised by the Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació, totally online that focuses on the digital and informational skills needed to develop the final degree project successfully.

It is recognised with 1.5 credits for 54 degrees, including all Health Sciences degrees.

We extend the loan term of handbooks

All library books that are in free access increase their loan term, from 7 to 15 days, in addition to the 6 automatic renewals for the same time each, if the copy is not reserved.

New collection: ClinicalKey Student Nursing

We already have access to the new ClinicalKey Student Nursing collection.

The collection has a total of 68 specialized titles, including essential manuals such as NIC, NOC and NANDA, and is complemented by an extensive resource bank with images and videos.

Direct access to the collection is done through a different route than that of CK Student Medicine and Dentistry, although if we already have an account created, this will also serve to identify us.

"On no publicar" tool update

In our Portal de Suport a la Investigació (Research Support Gate) you can now consult the update of the "On no publicar" (Where not to publish) tool, a compilation of documented editorial fraud in Biomedical Sciences.

The 2022 update offers 45 new titles that had not been detected until now, coming from the open blacklists that are updated (Beall i Kscien) and from the specialized bibliography.

The tool, in addition to offering a compilation of these frauds, allows us to monitor the behavior of the so-called predatory journals and their editors, by analyzing their quality indicators, and the changes we detect in names, URLs, ISSN, etc. .
