From the modern collection, it is worth highlighting the more than 500 volumes, including books and pamphlets, published between 1936 and 1939 and related to the Second Spanish Republic and Civil War.

It comes from the seizures that were conducted during the post-war period, of centres and private homes, of organisations and people linked with Republican trends or that defended leftist ideals.

Many of these prints were published in Valencia, which, as the capital of the Republic, conducted an intense political activity of information and propaganda.

These collections were kept in the storage of the Library, without using them in case they were claimed by the owners or their heirs. After the statutory period, they began to be catalogued.
