    Exposició: De llibres i plantes

    DE LLIBRES I PLANTES. Il·lustració botànica en les biblioteques de la Universitat de València, segles XVI-XIX.

    «... un llibre de plantes sense il·lustracions [és] com un tractat de geografia sense mapes» (John Ray, 1684)

        Les diferents biblioteques de la Universitat de València conserven una bona col·lecció de llibres amb il·lustracions botàniques que mostren els canvis produïts al llarg dels segles en les formes de percebre i representar el món vegetal. Aquests llibres procedeixen d’adquisicions pròpies, però també, en molts casos, de donacions particulars i desamortitzacions.

       Al Jardí Botànic de la Universitat de València, paral·lelament a aquesta exposició, s’han senyalitzat la major part de les plantes que apareixen il·lustrades en els diferents llibres,

    HISTORICAL LIBRARY: Alternative access for works

    TEMPORARY ACCESS FOR WORKS IN THE LIBRARY:
    From next Monday, October 20, the works to improve the facilities will begin on the ground floor of the library (loan and information board).

    They are expected to last one month. During this time, researchers can access the Pérez Bayer room through the door that leads to the cloister (access on the first floor).

    Historical Library closed for institutional visit

    From 3:00 p.m. on 25 September until 30 September, the La Nau building will be closed due to an institutional visit.

    During these days, the Biblioteca Històrica and the offices of the Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació will remain closed, although staff will continue working remotely.

    Miscellaneous legal presentation of the Laws

    La Biblioteca Històrica de la Universitat de València (UV)  presentarà  dimecres 17 de setembre, al Centre Cultural La Nau la recerca que ha permès identificar una valuosa miscel·lània jurídica (conjunt de documents amb ajustos realitzats sobre lleis prèvies) que inclou diverses versions, manuscrites i impreses, dels Furs del Regne de València, el conjunt de lleis que regiren el territori durant més de quatre segles, entre els anys 1261 i 1707.
