The 7th edition of Splash Sagunt Festival del Còmic starts with a talk in Rector Peset Hall of Residence

On 5 March at 7 p.m., Rector Peset Hall of Residence opens the doors for the 7th edition of Splash Sagunt Festival del Còmic of the Valencian community with a round table discussion about underground comics. This talk starts the festival along with the exhibition of El Víbora magazine, which will run from 6 to 29 March at the civic centre of Port de Sagunt and display the originals and comics of La Cúpula editorial throughout 40 years of its history.

Emilio Bernárdez (chief editor of La Cúpula), Sento Llobell (author), and Álvaro Pons (a director of the Comic Society at the Universitat de València) will participate in the event. The mayor of Sagunto, Darío Moreno, and the representatives of the Regional Valencian Ministry for Culture will also attend the meeting and discuss the event of Splash Sagunt, which will take place on 27, 28, 29 March in Casal Jove building of Port de Sagunt and include more than 30 artists. 

Splash Sagunt festival is all about comics: a comic holiday for people of all ages that will gather about thirty authors from Spain and abroad. There will be talks, autograph sessions, activities and workshops for children, national and international award ceremonies, movie screenings, comedy shows, concerts - all taking place in three intense days of “the ninth art”. Splash is organised in collaboration with the Valencian government (Generalitat Valenciana) and the City Council of Sagunto and receives support from the Association of Professionals of the Valencian Illustration (APIV).
