The University Centre for Diagnosis and First Aid (CUDAP) has set its participation body this week. It results from a meeting held this week at the General Foundation of the Universitat de València, in which the creation, composition and regulation of the body has been agreed.

As part of the agreement between the General Foundation and the Valencian Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policy, the CUDAP has launched this week its participation body according the regulation of the Valencian Government on transparency and citizen participation, which promotes citizen engagement within social affairs.

“The body’s objective is to include the users of this service and count on their participation” has stated Cristóbal Suria, manager of the Foundation and upcoming president of the body. The body’s structure is completed by Darío Rico, CUDAP’s coordinator, and representatives of families and users.

Among CUDAP’s objectives are promoting representatives’ initiatives, setting up a forum for communication, exchange of ideas, suggestions and proposals, and reporting on the CUDAP annual accounts, which will need to be approved too. To this end, the body will meet twice a year – the next meeting will be held on 14 January 2019.

“We are all very pleased with the creation of this new body, since it will voice directly and smoothly families that use CUDAP and so they can tell us their concerns and interests” has said Suria.
