Professor Vicente Martínez has coordinated the international report “This works in my place! – Latin American Edition”. This report focuses on the contribution of work and organisational psychology to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Vicente Martínez Tur is Professor at the IDOCAL research institute of the Universitat de València and President of the International Association of Applied Psychology (Division 1).

For the preparation of the report, as Professor Martínez Tur explains “a contextualised approach is followed. The aim is to avoid the use of conceptual frameworks and values of economically developed countries, so in a first phase the contextual factors that characterise Latin America are identified. Subsequently, strategies and practices are identified that could be successful and possible in the region, taking into account these contextual factors”.

The report has been sponsored by the International Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (IAAP). The results are based on a workshop and a Delphi study, with the participation of 33 experts in work and organisational psychology from Latin America.

Vicente Martínez-Tur (Tavernes de la Valldigna, 1970) is Professor of Social and Organisational Psychology at the Universitat de València, member of IDOCAL (Research Institute of Personnel Psychology, Organisational Development and Quality of Working Life of the UV) and Director of the Department of Social Psychology. He coordinates an intense research and transfer activity in centres for people with intellectual disabilities, from the perspective of Organisational Psychology.
