The course will be held between November 2016 and June 2017, and it will be especially addressed to university students and students from higher grade centres of artistic teaching. The student body of the course will attend as audience the pre-recorded broadcast in the Cultural Centre La Nau of the Universitat de València of two of the operas made in the previous seasons in the Palau de les Arts, and to a general rehearsal and two performances of the operas of the season 2016-2017 in the same Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía. The performances, in any case, will be preceded by an educational presentation with the main contents of each opera given by various expert professors.

Moreover, professors and students from the Department of Didactics of the Musical Expression, under the academic coordination of professor Ana María Botella as well, will carry out the presentations prior to the performances of season 2016-2017 in the Palau de les Arts.

The opera introductory course ‘Les Arts a La Nau’ is included in the programme of Musical Training Courses in the Area of Musical Activities of the General Foundation of the Universitat de València for the second semester of 2016, and the students interested can still enrol in the course of  Introduction to orquestra conducting II.
