The Universitat de València places five disciplines among the top 100 in the world, according to the Shanghai ranking

The Universitat de València has placed five of the disciplines it teaches among the 100 best in the world, according to the Shanghai ranking by subject, revealed this Tuesday. There are also three in the 100/200 bracket. The University is the first of all Valencian universities and in some disciplines, such as Remote Sensing, it is number 11 in the world.

The prestigious ranking prepared by the University of Shanghai has published the best universities to study different subjects. The Universitat de València has improved its position compared to the previous ranking.

In Food Science and Technology, the University is in 26th place in the world. In Tourism, it is 38th. In Public Health, it is ranked between 51st and 75th. In Physics, in the 76-100 bracket. In Atmospheric Sciences, 101-150. Clinical Medicine is in the same bracket. The subject Electronic and Electrical Engineering taught at the Universitat de València is in the 151-200 bracket, as is Law.

In Remote Sensing, Food Science and Technology, Tourism and Law, the Universitat de València is first in Spain. In Public Health and Clinical Medicine, the Universitat de València is the second in Spain, only surpassed by Pompeu Fabra (in first place) and by the Universitat de Barcelona (in second place).

The Shanghai ranking places the 500 best universities on the planet in 54 subjects distributed in five areas: natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences and social sciences.
