    Start of extraordinary opening hours and obligation to show the UV card

    Today we begin in our library the period of extraordinary opening hours for the exams, for which the Universitat de València card will be required to access to the library rooms.

    The obligation to show the card will remain until the end of January, when the exam period ends.

     

    In addition, we remind you that our library will open different weekends during this period, with special hours (only for study, not for loan), which you can consult in the opening hours section of our website. Remember that during these special opening hours, if the main door of the faculty is closed, the entrance will be through the door of the chapel (located on the side of the faculty closest to the Hospital Clinic).

    Library closed on Saturday 4 and Tuesday 7 December and start of special opening hours

    In addition to the next holidays 6 and 8 December, the Biblioteca de Ciències de la Salut "Pelegrí Casanova" will also be closed on Saturday 4 and Tuesday 7 December, since it is the day of the center.

     

    These days, the Universitat de València will keep the Biblioteca d'Humanitats "Joan Reglà" open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. from December 4 to 8.

     

    On the other hand, after these holidays, the extraordinary opening period for examinations will begin, where the library will remain open for study on some weekends. We remind you that during this time, outside of normal hours there will be no loan service, only study in the room, and that you have to identify yourself with the UV card to be able to access the library.

    Do you need to recharge your batteries (literally)?

    If you need to charge your mobile phone, we can help you, since now you can borrow a charger and the cable you need at the loan desk (they are provided separately).

     

    We have cables with the most common types of connection for mobiles with Android operating system: Micro USB (older) and USB C (more modern). You only have to come to the loan desk on the ground floor with your UV card and we will lend it to you if you do not have any sanction.

     

    Of course, remember that you have to return them on the same day!

    Trial access to ClinicalKey Student

    Until December 18, members of the Universitat de València have a trial access the ClinicalKey Student platform, from the Elsevier publishing house, to test it.
     
    ClinicalKey Student is an interactive online learning platform for students and teachers, enhancing the learning experience with tools that help develop and assess the medical knowledge of future professionals.
    It contains the main online reference manuals for medicine, dentistry, microbiology and other biomedical disciplines combined with interactive and analytical tools to support teaching and learning in Medicine programs. It also includes images, videos, and clinical summaries.
     
    To access it, go to the Recursos en Proves libguide, where you will find the link to the resource as well as different tutorials and help on it. You will also have to register on the platform or use your Elsevier account (for example the one you use at Scopus or ScienceDirect), if you already have one.

    Group work booths in Trobes

    You can now reserve the group work rooms (or booths) through the Trobes catalog.

     

    To do so, you have to identify yourself in the catalog with your username and password, search the rooms, which appear as "Cabina de treball Biblioteca Ciències de la Salut..." (or you can use the QR code that accompanies this news, opening it larger with the right mouse button), check the maximum capacity and the availability of each one and finally reserve the one that interests you.

    The third floor study rooms are open

     

    From today, the study rooms on the third floor of the faculty will be open, both the group work room and the silent study room, from 8:15 to 20:30.

    We remind you that the use of the mask is still mandatory, and that you have hydroalcoholic gel at your fingertips inside the rooms.
