    We are back with the activity "Diumenges, a la Històrica!"

    Historical Library reopens on Sundays to exhibit a selection of facsimiles of the most representative works from its valuable collection. Starting on 15 December, the exhibition can be visited free of charge from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Duc de Calàbria room.

     

    The works selected for the exhibition include facsimile copies of cartographic documents, Renaissance manuscripts, incunabula, prints from the 16th to 19th centuries and a sample of the collection of children's drawings from the Civil War, which form part of the library's holdings.

     

    Every Sunday, visitors can admire the imposing Duc de Calàbria room, with its original 19th century furniture, where two 17th century spheres are kept, one terrestrial and the other celestial, works by the prominent Dutch cartographers Wilhem and Joan Blaeu.

     

    The initiative "Diumenges, a la Històrica!" offers a magnificent opportunity to enjoy a privileged space and an exceptional collection

    We have a new date for the Valencian Book Day, it will be on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 in the Duc de Calàbria Room of the Historical Library.

    The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the continuous reading of the work of Vicent Andrés Estellés, and will also feature a musical performance by Mar Morález.

    POSTPONED THE DAY OF STUDY LIBRORUM FRAGMENTA

    Following the award for the best edition 2024, awarded by the Xarxa Vives d'Universitats in the catalogue of the exhibition "LIBRORUM FRAGMENTA: Incunabula and manuscripts reused in the Historical Library", edited by the Historical Library, it organizes the study day "LIBRORVM FRAGMENTA. RECYCLED BOOKS IN THE HISTORICAL LIBRARY."

     

    It will take place on October 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Aula Magna of the Universitat de València, in LA NAU Cultural Centre of the Universitat de València , Carrer de la Universitat, 2 46003 Valencia
    It will be a free day open to the public.
