The Centre d'Idiomes at the University of Valencia and Cambridge English Language Assessment have signed an agreement whereby the UV Language Centre is incorporated into the network of University Collaborating Centres for Cambridge.

With this collaboration, the entire university community and the general public, in addition to preparing with teachers trained in specific courses, will be able to take the official Cambridge Englishtests, the most widespread and internationally demanded certification, at the same facilities of the Centre d'Idiomes at the University of Valencia at Serpis Street, 25 (Tarongers Campus).

Throughout the year applicants will have three enrolment periods to take an official Cambridge English exam (May, July and December) and several dates to obtain the Preliminary (level B1), First (B2), Advanced (C1) or Proficiency (C2) certificate, depending on their academic and professional needs.

The agreement reached complements the official test schedule offered by the UV Centre d'Idiomes and offers alternatives to the English certification exams in the Spanish university system.

Nevertheless and at the same time, the PACLE test (levels B1, B2 and C1), within the CertAcles framework, will continue to be scheduled in its well-known convocation in June and September. Finally, for those who need an urgent English level accreditation to manage an enrollment at the University of Valencia, the official Oxford Test of English multilevel exam for the University of Oxford will be available.

En qualsevol cas i de manera paral·lela, la prova PACLE (nivells B1, B2 i C1), amb el segell CertAcles, continuarà programant-se en les seues conegudes convocatòries de juny i setembre. Finalment, per a aquells que necessiten una acreditació de nivell d'anglés urgent per a gestionar una matrícula a la Universitat de València estarà disponible l'examen oficial multinivell Oxford Test of English de la Universitat d'Oxford.

Candidates who pass both PACLE CertAcles and  Cambridge English tests will be able to accredit their linguistic competence to:

• Mobility programmes (Erasmus or International Mobility)
• Degree, postgraduate or Master's degree
• Internal promotion of the University of Valencia
• Public Post Access Exam for the University of Valencia
• Public Post Access Exam for the Generalitat Valenciana (Autonomous Region of Valencia)
