Dialogues allow students or teachers to initiate two-way dialogues with another person. This module is useful when the teacher wants a place to give private feedback to a student about their online activity.

To create this dialogue module, we will follow the usual steps to create any activity in Virtual Classroom and, once done and saved, we will access without leaving the edition, to this activity, from the main menu. In the activity we will see the option "Create".

Once this "conversation" has been created, we must first select the users with whom we will share it by clicking on the "Open with" tab. It is also advisable to add a message title and a description of the topic to be discussed. You can even attach files that help or support this dialogue between teacher and students.

Thus, once our activity has been created, saved and sent, a Dialogue module should appear in the Virtual Classroom, as shown in the following screenshot.

We find this type of module very useful, for example, if a student participates in a language forum and makes a grammatical mistake that the teacher wants to point out without embarrassing the student, a dialogue is the perfect place to do so. A dialogue activity would also be an excellent way for counsellors in an institution to interact with students: all activities are recorded and email is not necessarily required.
