An IMS content packaging is a collection of files which are packaged according to an agreed standard so they can be reused in different systems. The IMS content package module enables such content packages to be uploaded as a zip file and added to a course as a resource.
To create our content package in the Virtual Classroom, first of all, activate the editing mode and create the resource under the name "IMS content package". In this step, add a title to the content package and, if necessary, a description. To upload our content in the "Content" section, either drag and drop the files or choose them from a folder by clicking on "Choose a file".
It is important to note that the IMS content package works in zip format. Once files have been uploaded, save the activity.
Content is usually presented on several pages, with navigation between pages. There are several options for displaying content in a pop-up window, with a navigation menu or buttons, etc.
An IMS content packaging may be used for presenting multimedia content and animations.
