The triathlon team of the Universitat de València competed last weekend in the University Spanish Championship in Los Alcázares (Murcia), where he won the bronze medal by teams, with a time of 4:22”, behind the San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia (4:21”) and the Polytechnic of Madrid, which was first with 4:19”.
The athletes of the team of the Universitat de València who specially stood out were Diego Dobles, who was 7 with a time of 0:59:19 and Josep Gómez, 13 with a time of 1:00:05 in the final time of the men’s category. In the women’s category, Helena Candel, Claudia Montagut, Ana climent and Paula Gómez had very similar times and qualified for the 11 and 10 fourth place in the table.
The next appointment for the team will be next week, in the University Regional Sports Championship.
The orientation team competed in the University Spanish Championship, which took place in Iznalloz (Granada). On Saturday, they competed in the middle distance race in the morning and in the evening in the sprint category, which took place in La Cartuja. On Saturday 8, last day of the competition, the long distance race took place in Iznalloz too. The team coached by Niclas Gil did not win any medal, however they are slowly getting stronger as a team. It is an amateur team (two athletes competed for the first time in the orientation races), which is working for the future editions of the Championship.
