The Universitat de València organised -last Thursday 3 March-the first edition of the Internal Sailing Competition, which took place at the headquarters of the Escuela Municipal de Vela de Valencia, located at the Marina Real Juan Carlos I.
Around 15 participants fought in the competition from 14:30 to 17:30; a total of four boats wanting to get the Championship title in he Universitat’s internal competition, which ended in the hands of Juan Calvo’s boat, followed by that of Borja Boronat, Paralympic Héctor Álvarez and professor josé Javier Mundina.
The good weather and the constant veer winds allowed a maximum use of the competitors’ abilities towards the future Regional Championship of University Sports, which will take place next 23 March and which will be organised by the Catholic University of Valencia at Calpe’s Nautic Club.
