The UV will train volunteers that will collaborate in sporting event in the city of Valencia.
The Universitat de València will begin next Thursday at 11:00 the self-enrolment of the sport voluntary courses of the Physical Education and Sports Service of the second term through its webpage.
The Physical Education and Sports Service continues its commitment to the sports volunteering courses that, for several years, have been granting students the possibility to get involved in the different sporting events of the city of Valencia and in competitions organised by the University.
Those UV students who opt for registering in these courses will be trained in theory explanatory sessions on different fields, acquiring skills related to the importance of this labour in society and how to develop it. After that, they will participate in the event from different posts, according to the needs of the competition. The events have different natures, from popular and social and charitable nature, to large international character: fun runs, skating, day of riding, triathlons, etc.
Furthermore, with this offer to train the sports volunteers, students of new degrees may obtain ECTS credits by participation.
The courses registration will be open to both the university community and the public in general, to fill positions through www.uv.es/sef in the section Online registration.
