Divina Pastora Chair of Adapted Sports of the Universitat de València will organise the third edition of the Inclusive Padel Tennis Tournament in the mixed wheelchair-stand-up category, on 18 September, at the Blasco Ibañez Campus facilities.
On the third anniversary of the tournament, the Divina Pastora Chair of Adapted Sports - Universitat de València and its partners (the Physical Education and Sports Service and the Federation of Adapted Sports of Valencia) seek to promote and show that it is possible to compete in activities for athletes with and without disabilities.
The tournament will take place throughout the afternoon, from Friday at 16:30, with a round-robin stage of 6 couples. Couples will consist of players in wheelchairs and stand-up players. One of the Chair’s objectives is to promote the sport through education and personal development and social inclusion. In this sense, the following Friday’s action is added to the rest of projects developed during the course with great success of participation, such as organizing the conference “Sport for All. Nothing can stop you”, the First Interuniversity Valencian Goalball Championship, or the electrostimulation applied to training workshop in which the Chair collaborated together with the Physical Education and Sports Service of the UV; projects promoting integration through sport, providing tools and highlighting the importance of sport values and equal opportunities.
